    ROEA/RRC Roush Roundup 8/15 - 8/19

This year is the 10th Annual Roush Roundup and we are pleased to announce this years event is a collaboration between ROEA and RRC to bring together all Roush owners and enthusiasts as one group. We have activities planned to satisfy most interests.

For early arrivals we start off Wed Aug 15 with a meet and greet at the host hotel. From there we travel to Milan Dragway for test & tune night. Run the 1/4 mile or just come out and watch. Cost is $25 for car and driver, $10 per spectator and is paid to the track at the track. EVENT OPEN TO ALL CARS

Thursday Aug 16 starts off with a private tour of the Ford Romeo Proving Grounds. Here we have a van tour of the proving grounds, laps on the 5 mile high-speed oval and a coney dog lunch to support Juvenile Diabetes. Cost for this event is $30 per car for ROEA/RCC members, $40 non-members. Register here. Coney dog lunch is pay at event. A portion of proceeds is donated to JDRF. There is a 50 car limit and spaces are filling fast so please get your registration in ASAP. This has been a very popular event you don't want to miss.

Thursday concludes with the Roush Museum Open House/Cruise-in. Jack will be there to sign our cars or anything else you want signed. There is no cost for this event and everyone is welcome. To get reserved Roush parking you must return your RRC event registration form.

Friday Aug 17 we head out to Waterford Hills for open track day. Waterford Hills is a fun little road coarse that is suited for beginners as well as advanced drivers. We have teamed up with HOD and will have a couple instructors available to spend a track session with you on 1st come 1st serve basis as well as provide classroom instruction. Also on 1st come 1st serve are loaner helmets. Please bring your own. CONVERTIBLES ARE ALLOWED TO RUN ON TRACK - TOP UP. Passenger allowed in front seat with approved helmet. You must attend a mandatory drivers meeting before allowed on track. 1/2 day and full day sessions available. Cost for this event is a very reasonable $150/car full day for ROEA/RRC members. Please see the registration page for 2nd driver, 1/2 day and non-member options. Spectators are free. EVENT OPEN TO ALL CARS. Please register for this event here and/or indicate spectator attendance on your RRC form so we can prepare the track concession stand for lunch. There will be a parade lap session open to spectators between 12:30 and !:00 pm.

Friday concludes with a group dinner, location yet to be determined.

Saturday is Mustang Alley/Woodward Dream Cruise day. If you have not registered for Mustang Alley yet you are probably out of luck to join the Roush group parking as registration is full but you can still get on the waiting list. You may also choose just to cruise Woodward Ave which is an experience in itself.

Sunday is race day at MIS. Both ROEA and RRC have ticket packages available.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. We hope to see as many of you as possible there!

Parking for the open house is being handled by RRC, I'm afraid you will have to ask Tracey that question.

Sounds like good time again Merlyn. Sorry I won't be able to participate, again this year. Got too much booked already for Aug. and that weekend the Cubs are in town playing those pesky Reds. You guys have a fun time and hey.....Be Careful Out There.

You should never take life so seriously that you forget to play
