roush hood

Need help with finding a suitable hood for my 95 gt mustang. I'm installing a new Roush intake system and the regular gt hood won't clear. I would like to find the original Roush hood new or used to purchase. If not, what about the cobra hood as i like the looks but not sure if it will clear. They say the R hood will clear but I don't like the appearance. How about cutting out the regular hood with a scoop?
I NEED HELP!
Neil

there is a cobra r hood that has a scoop in it but i don't know if you would want that since you've already stated that you don't like that style. i think a saleen hood should give you enough clearence. in the link attached there are a few other hoods that should help you out. i think smoke would have a better idea for what you need.

Here's a shot of the Saleen style hood with a 1.5 inch cowl. It's not the best pic in the world but I took it in the pitch black dark. Hope this helps.

The ROUSH 5.0L intake piece requires an elevated hood to incorporate the induction set-up.

The R hood will clear and so will the heat extractor hood 98Stage 2 so kindly displayed.

The issue will be cutting the rear of the hood to allow for te induction system.

As for cutting a regular GT hood - nah, wouldn't recommend it.

Cool

Neil,
The (96-98) Cobra Hood will probably clear the intake. The S2 hood is the same GT hood.

No different.
The 94-95 hoods for S3s were the only hoods that were different than stock for these years (94-98).
