The First Roush Focus

Here are some pics of the first Roush Focus. Well, it's one of 3 "original".
There is a sister car to this one and the yellow SEMA Focus. This one was used in the development of the suspension, turbo kit, and interior bits just to name some. The name "Clown Car" comes from when it was running around town with unpainted parts bolted on and when none of seats were the same color. Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing scot and welcome to the site! Great historical photos indeed.

The first picture proves that they were built by people that are twisted in the head.

J/K - could not resist.

On a serious note, what was the chronology with the Turbo Kit and when, where, why, how did it or did it not continue to be with us today? I would imagine people would like to have that available for their cars.

The turbo kits came later in the game (for the most part) after most of the other parts were well on their way. The kit was probably the most complicated kit for the Focus. I'm sure the calibration wasn't that easy.
I'm not really sure why the turbo kits went away for the most part. I don't think the take rate was as high as hoped. Personally, I think every Focus should have a turbo kit and of course, a Roush suspension...

Your ride is cool too. I like the all blacked out thing. Like the headlights too. I think I should get some for mine.

My hope/prediction is that Roush will offer a version of a future Ford small car.
