2006 Roush Mustang Seat covers

A week after getting the car, the drivers side seat cover started comming off in the front, next to the floor... I did'nt notice it until I vacumed the car out...so I took it back to the dealer, and he sent me to their upholstery shop ...after 5 min he fixed the problem, shook my hand, and I left... a week later the same thing happend, this time both front seats... so back to the upholstery shop again.. the guy ended up taking both seats out, and putting screws in after clipping them back in place.. end of problem....he showed what the problem was, and the plastic clips would'nt hold on to the metal like it should... they kept slidiing off ......don't know if anybody else has had this problem or not

Both my seats are not secured at the bottom with those little white "clips". Was told that I would have to leave the vehicle and it would be sent out to have screws put in to hold the seat cover in place. They sounded like it was a problem they have seen a lot of, even on the regular mustangs. I have just left it the way it is, I never stick my head down there anyways.

In mine the white or lite colored foam was pushing out ... and it was quite noticeable agaist the black floor.... I thought the clips were black plastic on the Roush seat covers but I could be wrong it only took aboat 1 hour to take the seats out fix them and put them back in

I used Upholstery screws and they have a washer type part that keeps the screw from pulling through the leather.Plus you need to drill through the plastic clip that the material is stiched to.This way there is no way it can pull out cause the material and the clip are really screwed to the metal part of the seat.Very hard to show but it works and look under or pull seat and fix.I have had no problums since I've owned my car from Early 2005(new).Hope it helps .Make sure that you make it through leather ,plastic ,and metal for good fix.It takes 2 screws on each seat.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread...

I just went into the dealer and had both my seat covers fixed on my '06 Stage 1. Looking at how he fixed it, there seems to be some zip ties he ran through after putting the clips back in place. Lets hope it holds for awhile

Mine goes into the dealership next week to fix the seat covers also.
Actually, the dealership is outsourcing the work to an upholstery shop hoping that the professionals will fix it right.

That's what they did to mine too...I watched the guy do it... he drilled holes though the clip and the seat frame then put the Upholstery screws in....end of problem....the clips came off the first week I owned the car....I took the car back and they just reclipped them back in place....that didn't last two days before the clips became unhooked again....so save yourself a trip back to the dealership and tell them to put the scews in the first time....it saves a little steam from being blown off.....and getting yourself all worked up or a 10 cent screw

I just drilled a holes through the long clip aligning the holes with the holes in the metal seat frames(on both sides).Ran a zip tie through the clip and the frame, snapped the clip in place and cinched the zip ties keeping the clip to the frame and the zip ties is unable to be seen from the front as it is underneath the seat.
