Missing keys to wheel locks...

Anyone want to place their bets on whether or not the dealer can get the lock off and replace with new ones? I got a nail in my tire the other day and went to a tire shop to have it fixed only to find out I didn't have the key to the wheel locks. Dropped the car off at the dealer...we'll see what happens..

The dealers usually have a master set of wheel locks.(If they are produced for Ford.)

dealer didnt have one for mine, but you can just bang on a 12 point socket and take them off.

If you still had the lock registration that came with the Roush you could just order more locks (time permissing of course).

or you could buy a wheel lock removal kit same principle....

hammering on a "socket" that barely fits then zapping it off ....

hope that helps , James

p.s. dont forget to add a stubby 1/2
extension if you use your own socket
little protection from hitting your rims

I bought the car used and there's no key to be found...of course didn't realize this until I found the screw in my tire.

Looks like they're ordering another lock set since they said it would be a couple days. I presume they got the old set off.

The locks are for the 18in Roush rims...i hope they got the locks off without damaging the wheels.

Go to the auto parts store and get one of those "gator grip" sockets, works great for wheel thieves, why not you?
