New Stage 3 verty delivered and

I will keep this short and simple
Received Roush Stage 3 Convertible
Day 1 Check Engine Light Diagnosed air leaks around injectors and fuel rail
(fixed returned)
When returned noticed an issue @ 3000 rpm (sort a like hitting a rev limiter for a moment)
Less then 300 miles later check engine light on…. This is not starting too good.

Will keep you posted,
Kev

My Stage 3 has a short stall at about 3k RPM when you shift from second to third. I figured that it was from the boost not on, then coming on...

i was going to ask the dealership but I am sure they have NO CLUE.

They didn't even know that there was a Strut recal.

Since you obviously got a lemon and I know how frustrating that is... just bring it over & I will keep it for you & work through all these problems for you. I figure in about a couple of years it will be all resolved & I will return your car, all freshly waxed even!

Welcome to our place...introduce yourself, read the sticky on posting pics & post some up! Don't worry there are often bugs in new cars it will turn out just fine...I remember a Toyota Camry that needed a new flywheel even!

Thanks for the welcome and the offer ....

The Mustang will be at the Stealership tomorrow... at 3k RPM the engine is either detonating or has another issue altogether

The strut recall is definitely real and mine were shipped from Roush today. will change out when i return from Atlanta next week. hope to get The Cat in the Hat to sign the car along with Matt Kenseth while i'm there for the Nascar race.

Good Luck!

Good luck getting your new Roush signed! Jack was supposed to sign mine while it was at Charlotte Motor Speedway being built, but he never had the chance to even see it. The guys who built my baby were very proud of it at the time as it was one of the first few 4.6's to get a root's blower on it (most had the front mounted superchargers). I was a pilot back then and even did a photo shoot that was in both Mustang Monthly as well as 5.0 with me in my flight gear with my jet on one side of me and my new Roush on the other (exactly like the recent Car & Driver cover pic Jack did at the time). We sent the pics to him in hopes it would grab his attention. No luck, no even a reply saying what a cool car his boys had built! :-( No hard feelings though, he's a very busy man!! All successful people are.

Best of luck to you. If you do get his signature, I will be VERY jealous!! jk

Congrats. Power in the hands of a few.

Oh wait, that is a Saleen tagline. I guess it applies. Congrats.
