Thumbs down 8 weeks...still not done

So after getting jerked around at Earnhardt Ford in AZ on Ray Road, for 3 weeks I bring the car to Sanderson Ford, A Roush dealer, to get some body panels fixed. The wing was coming off and the side skirts needed to be replaced....it's not brain surgery.

Well, Sanderson has had the car for FIVE WEEKS and I still don't have it....I have had to make numerous calls to the dealership to get their A$$eS moving, wtf?.

Roush has been great to deal with but what a pain overall.

Does anyone do anything right. I think my last words to the service manager were "with service like this I feel like driving this F'g car through your showroom window and buying a Chevy"

Am I wrong for being pissed? please tell me if you think I am being unreasonable.

Just had to get it off my chest.

Thanks,
OJ

well, don't say the driving through the showroom thing too loud, it happened before where a guy took his new escape through the window and then lit the place on fire and pouring gas on it.

feel your pain, get the GM of the dealership involved

I fell your pain. I'm on my fourth week with this "simple" whipple install waiting on a part that I need for the install.
For your issue, there was an article in a recent mustang magazine on service work/warranty issues. It was to Ford's corporate headquarters or something like that. I'll try to find it tomorrow night and post the number for ya. Wouldn't hurt to give them a call, it might speed things up.

Personally, I would never deal with Earnhardt's again. I fell I got took by them in the past and would never take my Roush there. I bought mine at Sanderson and have heard mixed comments about them. Generally, I think they do a fair job although I have never had my car in for service. They are in the process of correcting a problem with my Roush and it is taking some time to resolve though. When my Stage 3 was delivered, it had the wrong wheels on it. I got the older wheels and did not get the newer "Forged" wheels as I should. According to Sanderson, the wheels are in the mail and I should be contacted soon when they arrive. I do think they are very lax in contacting you with status updates and the sales manager seems a little put out when you call for status. We will see...

For your car, are they waiting on Roush for parts? If so, take you car back until the parts come in. There is no reason, as I see it, for them to have your car all that time. I would be pissed too... Good luck…

Parts arrived at dealership today. I know the whole warranty thing with Roush takes some paperwork on the dealerships behalf but.....it was two weeks before they even emailed Roush photos to ask for authorization.

So can Stage 3 help with warranty work? or just getting the parts?

Should have the car back next week or so they are telling me.....we will see

P.S. it was the Earnhardt on Ray Road in Chandler

Well heck, let me tell you why I will never give any business to Earnhardts EVER again.
1. Bought a brand new 98 Mustang GT convert from the dealership on Baseline. Traded my 93 coupe with killer stereo system in it. Was told to come by later and I could retrieve the stereo as it was not part of the trade in. Well I came back later and apparently somebody beat me to it. GONE!! Dealership told me that they are not responsible for "lost" or stolen property.
2. Went to the dealership on Country Club (Earnhardts Dodge/Ford) as they had a mint 04 red Mach 1. decided to buy it and after negotiating for an hour with the salesman and his manager, we came to an agreement on the price. Well I sent the wife home with the kids in the family car and went inside to fill out the paperwork and figured I would be driving home in the Mach. NO!!! Another manager came over and told me that he didn't realize that it was a Mach1 and thought it was just a GT. Funny, IT WAS THE ONLY MUSTANG ON THE LOT!!!!!!!!!!! Fuckers!!!!!!! Wife had to turn around and drive the 20 miles back to the dealership to pick my butt up.

I will never buy from Earnhardts ever again.
