went thru some of the same shit inc, the fuel pump, all is well at this time.
your first thought is,i paid 50 k for this car, why do i need this crap/ the reality is: you bought a hybred car, it will have some problems. had you bought a camrey, or a lexus, or a mini pooper, you could drive on driver, no problems. Live with it, get the problems resolved as they occur, you drive the car as intended. Your putting it thru some extreame tests, some shits going to happen. You have a new model, it needs to all shake out. Chill. enjoy ![]() |

I can sympathize with your feelings on the issues. I have some nightmare stories of my own that are not Roush or even Ford related about getting proper warranty work done and/or the amount of work/time I had to wait through.
But I feel that in your case, maybe there are specific people at fault vs. the car being at fault. #1 is a simple recall, almost every car today is experiencing at least one. So it can be expected to some extent. I hope they took care of it in a timely fashion. #2 and #3 are rediculous. 33 days to fix a wire and find a vacuum leak are insanely uncalled for. Unless you got an altered version of what really was wrong and repaired, any tech that would take that long to find and fix 2 simple problems like that should really be working at Taco Bell, not in a service department. #4 was probably the same fault as #3 and the tech in #3 had mis-diagnosed it. #5 sounds like a basic part failure and that is unfortunate. I would think it could be remedied quickly. It seems to me that the root of your dismay is really in the quality of service you received. What dealer are you dealing with? |

I went from an 05 Sport to a 07 Stage 2 utilizing the Florida Lemon Law. here is some information in your state...
Qualifying for Lemon Law: Colorado's Lemon Law, C.R.S. 42-12-101, covers only new, self-propelled vehicles, including pickups and vans, but excluding motor homes and motorcycles. This law may require a manufacturer to replace or repurchase that vehicle if a defect or condition, which substantially impairs the use or market value of the vehicle, can not be corrected. If you buy a new vehicle that has a defect within one year following the purchase, and the same defect is not repaired after four or more attempts to repair, a court may order the manufacturer to replace the vehicle or refund the purchase price minus a reasonable allowance for your use of the vehicle. This also applies when the vehicle is out of service for repairs for a cumulative total of 30 or more business days during the warranty term or one year after original delivery, whichever comes first. Filing a Lemon Law Claim Prior to suing a manufacturer for a refund or replacement vehicle, you must first send a written notice of defect by certified mail to the manufacturer, give them a chance to repair it and go through the manufacturer's informal dispute settlement procedure, if one exists. Manufacturers that have a dispute settlement, or arbitration, procedure that complies with Federal standards are not subject to provisions of the Lemon Law concerning refunds or replacement until the customer has pursued arbitration. Refer to your owner/warranty manual for forms, manufacturer's name and business address, and dispute settlement procedures. Check out this site for more details. http://www.ago.state.co.us/CONSPROT/...s/LemonLaw.pdf One thing nice about filing a dispute is if you drive your vehicle often and the miles accumulate, you get freebie miles you do not have to pay for from the day Ford receives your certified mail. I put almost 12K miles on my 05 after I filed and I did not have to pay for those miles used. I hate to say it, but that is the best part about winning a lemon law dispute. Other than that, you get a new ride out of the deal and you wont have to pay much of a difference if you get a comparable car. I juiced it up a little bit and paid a minimal upgrade fee. My 07 was 33K OTD. Good Luck if you go this route. BTW my ride was out of service for 63 days in the first 14 months of ownership. I drove rental cars more often than my ride! PM me if you have any questions. |
