roush temp guage not working

This is related to the regular temp guage in the Roush dash. For several weeks it would disengage as if the engine was off. It happens intermitently so it may happen all of a sudden while i'm driving or sometimes when I shut the engine off then start it again shortly afterwards. Then, about a week ago, the engine shut off on me altogether as i was driving up GA 400. I pulled over and it started right up but I had noticed the temp was reading about a 1/4 of the way past the middle marking. It seemed to run just fine after I started it back up.

any ideas?

thanks

I would guess that it's a loose connection somewhere. But with everything being plugs now I am not sure. I am not sure what car you have though.

This really isn't a Roush thing. Roush just changes the guage panel out for looks and doesn't change the mechanics of it.

The water temp on my car is on the driver's side middle of the intake. I have the Roush intake though.

I would take it in and have it looked at. It may be bad becuase the water may not be moving properly or the thermostat may not be working right.
