05+ blower belt problem

Well this past saturday i went to a car show locally and had a great time until it was time to leave. I started up and there went my belt..... again. My question is anyone else having problems with their belt jumping up on the the side of the blower pulley and getting sliced open? this will be my 3rd blet in 6000 miles. the first time it made a foot and a half slice in the middle of the belt and this time it sliced the entire back rib right off the belt. the only thing i can think of is that the tensioner pulley isn't strong enough to keep the belt seat. opinions please

I've had the same belt for 20K miles, with no slip at all. The tensioner is fine for the job, but check yours for tightness. Also check the alignment of your belt, sounds like maybe something isn't in line, and is throwing your belt.

I agree...sounds like an alignment issue.

I have heard of a few Mustangs with belt issues.
I hear that it seems to be an issue with the tensioner being or getting bent during operation.
I'm pretty sure a call to Roush is advisable.

Well apparently Roush found a problem and redesigned the tensioner pulley.
the TSB is from Roush not Ford.
I'm going today to have mine replaced i'll let ya'll know if they change out any other pulleys with the Roush TSB

FYI The belt tensioner is the factory one. is not a Roush part. I would check to see if the bolts on the Roush supplied idler pulleys could have backed off. It won't take much if it did back off to throw the belt off.
