Strange Noise Left Front

Okay, my first issue with the baby. Making a left turn I have heard a pop like a plastic bottle flying up under the car. Now can hear some sort of rubbing noise in the left front when I turn left or right but sporadically. Sometimes it sounds like wet brakes rubbing. I also have a vibration in the left front at highway speed. Had it at the dealership last Thurs. It was raining (in all fairness to them) so they didn't take it out but checked wts on the wheels, retourqued everything, and checked alignment. I am wondering if it doesn't have something to do with the brakes. After reading about the brakes that locked up on someone on the freeway a while back I'm a little paranoid to really put my foot in it. Any thoughts??

Get under the car and ck the plastic fender liners, I had to trim both of mine.

That's a start, I just want to rule out the worst possibilities as well. Will be going on a road trip in a few months and would prefer no surprises.

Alright Peeps I am now a member of the cc plate blues club!! Had the Baby on the rack and severe tire wear on inside fronts. Accounts for bad noise and vibration. Will keep you all posted on progress. Dealership is supposed to have the car back Thurs to confirm problem and order parts. Thank you, thank you, thank you all that know these cars for all the great info you share and provide.

Mine did a similar thing and I found that one caliper nut was missing and the other was finger tight.

Continued Front End Issue

Okay folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride. The dealership initially said a caster/camber issue and possibly bent left front strut. After Greenwood Ford talked with Michelle at Roush they now say the entire front end sounds shifted and possibly the engine bracket too. They (Roush) went so far as to suggest my car must have been in a wreck (hell NO!). Now I have to take her back again on Monday to stay until issue resolved. In the meantime Greenwood says there's no harm to my car just driving to and from work. They are supposed to be furnishing some rent-a-heap until I get the Roush back. They've already hinted that I will need to pay for alignment since the baby has over 12k on it. I don't think so since the alignment wouldn't be necessary IF the car were together like it was supposed to be in the first place! Yes, I am a little angry and keeping my cool while keeping some very detailed notes in case I need them later

Thanks Kandy! I think anyone with a 427 should be paranoid at this point. Will definitely keep all posted. Very disappointing to spend so much $ and have such problems. Want to give them all the chance to make things right and hope they will.

Grieving

Well, tomorrow the Baby goes to the shop to get the mystery front end problem fixed. I am already bummed out that I can't drive her for a while.

Will keep you posted!

Final update; engine bracket shift caused the problem. Roush replaced the 2 worn tires and now everything is back to normal! Kudos to Roush and Greenwood Ford!!
