ROUSH shifter vibration/blue book nada values

I have an 07 ROUSH Mustang GT with the ROUSH shifter and white knob (similar to a HURST shifter) and it has begun to vibrate loudly when I accelerate. I have about 14K (mostly highway miles). I have taken it back to the dealer twice and they can't fix it and say that there is nothing wrong because it is a "sport" or "racing" shifter so it is normal to vibrate. If it is normal to vibrate, why didn't it vibrate when I purchased the car. Why did it wait until it was 6 months old to start vibrating? What should I do? I can't stand the buzzing vibration noise.

Concerning used ROUSH values...
I started looking in to trading away my ROUSH and found out that I am seriously upside down because I paid $38k new in April 2007 and now I'd be lucky to get 20k for it now (trade in). I think that it sucks that we pay so much for the ROUSH goodies up front and we get screwed on resale because NADA and Blue Book don't list the values of our cars and nobody is going to give you over NADA or Kelly Blue Book even if it is low mileage and in perfect shape. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BECAUSE WE ARE GETTING SCREWED!!!!!!

Hey Forest!

Welcome to FnSweet! Yeah, I've been hearing resale sucks - really - your best bet is to keep your Roush and drive the wheels off.

I had the shifter rattle too, and have many FnSweet members. I took mine into the dealer for some warranty work and they put in a "dampner kit". Here the thread about it and what others have also done:
Should I get the small pulley upgrade?

As well as the part number my Roush service dept. gave me:

Here's what my paperwork says for the "shift dampner kit":
"replaced shifter with updated one with VIB Damper R&I top of center console for access to attaching bolts"
Shifter Part # R15040033-13-AA Shift Dampner Kit

Hope that helps!
Kandy

tried to search, still can't find answer

Well, this young Jedi in training needs help in searching because I couldn't find anything helpful. I searched for "shifter Vibration" and got many hits that were mostly identical and didn't mention anything relevant to my problem. A little help please?

Hey, no problem! BTW - I still have a little vibration, which I guess is common, but nothing like it was before. I swear it sounded like my shifter was going to fall off when I was driving, it was so loud.

Bring the questions on, there's a lot of people here that have went through similar things, so you are not alone.

Oh- and post up pics of your baby!! We love pics here!!

This might fix it. I don't claim to know how it works or what its for. I am just going by the description

Well, the good thing is NADA does list Roush Vehicles, so at least they recognize they are out there. Hopefully they will have used prices listed soon, besides just the MSRP.

I think in order to get a good price on your car, you have to take it to a roush dealer, or sell your self. Most dealers have no idea what a roush even is,so they just give you GT blue book.

Quite true. I took my Roush in for an oil change at my local Roush dealer, and the salesman came to me and told me they would like to have my car, and asked if I wanted to sell. Of course, I still have it.

There is a new Tsb, # 08-3-4. This is for center stack vibration caused by the exhaust hangers. It replaces the old tsb for this issue.

May or may not be your issue.

Well, thanks to Kandy for the info on the dampner kit from Roush. The dealer installed the part and the vibration is totally elimated. I am so happy!
