tire plugged, now flat..

I had my tire plugged yesterday, seemed ok drove about my daily routine. Then this morning I left and heard a funny noise coming from my tire, get to the little carryout and my tire is flat. This older man put air in it for me but I noticed a gray stripe running along the sidewall of the tire. Should I replace the tire? It only has about 15,000 miles on it. Also, can I replace just the one or do I need to buy 2 new back tires?

Thanks Roushinator for the quick response. I've already had one tire blow the sidewall out. So I get very OCD about the tires now. I will be getting new ones.

Not sure what others think, but I will never plug a tire (unless there is no other option) because in my experience they leak or pop out. When I have a flat and need to get it repaired I have the tire patched and I have never had a problem.

Thumbs up

Time to replace the tire,i would not take the chance. And you would not have to worry about it any more if it is flat or low etc.

I'd do both at 15K.

If you have high performance tires, it is not recommended they be plugged, patched, etc. Also, when you have HP tires, it is best to keep them in pairs.

I just got home and saw the tire since this morning, it's flat. Imagine that It seems that tire rack has the best prices. Time to go shopping, it's what I do best
