Has anyone with an auto backed up this story's numbers?

I have a friend with an 08 auto vert who brings up this article every time we have one of our "friendly" Chevy/Ford discussions. He won't take it to the track and the couple of manual 427R's I've seen run have only ever pulled high 12's to low 13's.

Please don't think I'm trolling due to my post count or discrediting Roush or MM&FF. Just wondering if it was a "Magazine Test Car" or if it's the norm.

Only performance mod is Roush extreme exhaust... other then that, cool temperatures, just heating up the Coopers real good, power braking to 1900, drop the pedal 3/4 the way down, let go the brake, and ease the pedal all the way down. Can't go full pedal or will spin too much right off... but the automatic really does outrun the sticks....

Thanks for the info. You have the same color combo as my friend but I definitely like the hard top better.
