Truth be told....Teresa should have never let Jr go. I am certain his father wouldn't have wanted things to turn out the way they have. It's too bad for all. DEI just won't be DEI without the namesake. Who can predict... but I don't think DEI will ever be the same.

I myself think fan reprecussions will eventualy led to DEI being sold by her. Did not earnhardt senior have a few diffent numbers in his carreer.
83 would be a good number for Dale Jr

Who technically owns the numbers? Does NASCAR hold the rights to the numbers or do they let a team pick whatever number they want?

Smart move by DEI to say Mark Martin will drive the #8 next year. That will cut down on some of the backlash since most people have a lot of respect for Mark (that he has rightfully earned if I must say).
