Pre-race activities at Daytona

Heading down to the race and would like some opinions on best way to spend the day pre-race. Are the tickets for fan fest and infield really worth it ? Are there other things to get into besides these attractions.

If you go to a Cup day it's $15. per person and $10 for non Cup. It's cool to go in the infield and watch (helps if you have a scaner). You can get some of the drivers to sign stuff while there switching cars. I should be there again Tuesday for the 2nd round of Cup guys. If you want to know anything else just ask.
