Racing back at the ROCK

Just to let everyone know that the Rockingham Speedway is back open and the wonderful sound of race cars are speeding around the place everyday. Our SSF partner, 1995 ARCA Champion and former NASCAR driver Andy Hillenburg purchased the facility at the end of 2007 and is bringing racing back to the ROCK! The first race will the Carolina 500 ARCA race on May 4th, 2008. And if you are a race fan you ought to try and make this one. Largest ever ARCA purse and they are gonna start 50 cars. That alone is going to be worth the price of admission. 50 cars taking the green on a 1 mile speedway. From what they are telling me several former NASCAR drivers will be in the field, plus the superstars of ARCA and I believe ROUSH is entering a few cars. Should be a good show. Let me or DayZee know if anyone is going to make it. We will be there!!!

Just a lil update for all you East Coast Race Fans. The Rock Speedway will host an openhouse ARCA test on March 21st & 22nd and is free to the public to come an watch. Grandstands and pits will be open. Also the field might be interesting from what I am being told by track management. Phil Parsons (Benny's younger brother) is coming out of retirement to compete in it and if the Cup race on Saturday night that weekend runs as scheduled their are several Cup drivers that might come down and run it. I was told Stewart, Kahne and possibly one of the Hendrick drivers might be in it. Check it out. Also if anyone has plans on attending let us know. Me and Dayzee will be there!!!

No word yet. I did get to see Jimmie test down at The Rock the other day. Jimmie Johnson and David Green was doing a COT Test. I was down at The Rock for a meeting and didn't have a camera and I walked in the infield an there they were. Was weird to see COT at The Rock!
