Yeah, Carl Edwards & Roush Racing

Hats off to Carl for a great win at California today. Maybe now the media will talk about Ford and Roush. I'm tired of hearing about Hendricks and Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon and TOYOTA (whoopie) and Joe Gibbs. Anybody else feel the way we do???

Oh now I see this thread. Ignore my sleeping comment in the racing forum.

I agree this was a big win for Roush/Ford. Seems like the big story this year is going to be Hendricks NOT winning a race and not who actually won. Maybe some early wins in the season will get some attention back on the Ford camp. Kenseth does well at Vegas we shall see!

I'm glad a Roush Car won this race but it's not really that big of a deal, Roush has won many times at Califonia, I heard a stat yesterday that out of 42 total races (all three series) Roush has won 13. California is a Ford track, there has been Ford Tracks before, I think Darlington was one and before the 48 car, Charlotte was one, it is only the second race we will have to wait and see if Ford can really turn it around this season.

I personally have followed mark martin for years. It was watching him that got me to tune in each week. Now I pull for anyone driving for Jack. I think that last season really showed what Mark ment to Roush Racing, not having his experience and set ups for each track. most of the roush guys use mostly the same set up as Mark with their own personal feel to it.hopefully they can bring it back around this year. Carl, Matt, and Greg are all top guys with the ability to win each week. Reagan has shown he can do it, but he is still young. he needed Mark around for another year to help him out but he will get it.

True but this win was the a COT which does make it somewhat more important imo.

You have to give credit, where credit is due. Jack Roush knew last year, that they were behind on their COT tech and testing and set out to fix it. From the way the Roush cars have run in the first 2 races, it looks like they did the right things to get them on track and to be competitive with the other big teams, in the COT. Matt and David had good runs going in the Daytona 500, until David lost it and got into Matt. Had that not happened, I'm betting Roush would have been a bigger factor in the 500. Vegas is next, where Roush has had some good success before, so I guess we will see if they can keep up the pace in the COT.
