Anybody going to the Toyota/Save Mart 350 @ Infineon?
Just bought two grandstand tickets.
http://www.infineonraceway.com/sched...events/nascar/ My wife and I are going to be in San Jose that week. We will be @ the Roush day @ Frontier Ford June 19th. We will head up to the wine country Friday AM. Drink wine on Saturday and watch the race on Sunday . Send me a PM if you want to get together somewhere around San Jose or the wine country. If enough people respond we can organize a dinner or something.

In the grand scheme of things .... I am attempting to plan out a camping trip for that race weekend. Unfortunately finances at this time are hampering my efforts. Goal (that wont be reached) is to get a campsite at Sonoma that weekend next to or near one of my neighbors that has all the immenities that goes every year. Way coool it would be to sit back and watch everyone try to leave...
You do not want to do a one day deal without proper planning as the drive out after the race is horrendous. Talking 2 hours to go a mile... with 30 miles to go. Saw many peoples run out of gas going 1 mph for hours. Plan accordingly and hit me up towards the ordeal for suggestions. D |

The view from anywhere in the grandstands is about the same you can see a good majority of the race course. I have a few pics to wet your appetite until then ![]() |

Park as far away from the track as possible and closest to your exit in the direction you will be leaving. The parking lots down below are dirt but Roush safe. Just make sure you park as close to the exit as possible as I spent about an hour waiting to get out of there with yahooos kicking up dust/dirt tying to get to the front. Have a game plan prior to parking. The traffic is unreal.
If I indeed get a camping spot I will let you know. If you park a mile away and make the walk you will be better off in the long run... unless you just arent in a hurry and want to sit in traffic for ever. Grandstands are probably the best view but bring binoculars for sure, D |
