Nitrous

Has anyone installed a nitrous oxide system on a supercharged F-150?I was considering doing it.

The F150 supercharger kit uses about 70psi of fuel pressure to get the necessary flow through the stock injectors to match the boost.

At this pressure, the stock fuel pump cannot flow enough fuel to support any more power.

nitrous

To add nitrous to a supercharged f-150,is a 100 hp setup ok?,with keeping stock rods and pistons? Are there any other modifications necessary to the stock parts besides a new fuel pump and injectors?Does the PCM have to be recalibrated for A/F?Can the stock drivetrain handle the Power?Any info will be appreciated.

A 100hp setup will leave you short about 50hp worth of fuel at best.

I have seen the stock 5.4 engine running at 500hp, daily driving, and still seeming reliable. Hard to say how long the parts will really last in the long run. More power = less life in 95% of all cases though.

A recalibration would be required because of a new pump and/or injectors, not because of the nitrous kit.

The stock trans is rated at 550 lb-ft of torque (750 Nm.... as in 4R75). Axle(s) and Driveshaft(s)... who knows.

I don't think the piston heads will handle it long term
