Nitemare-Road Racing & Drag Track

Took My 07 Nitemare to the drag track last night (1st time for me) Best time of the night was a 14.29 1/4mile run, was told that was pretty good for that much weight. Any thoughts from the experts out there? Also ran at Pocono on the long road course last week with the Hooked On Driving folks---GREAT time, whole bunch of cars and 1 truck!!!

I'm no expert. I've been on the track a total of one night with 8 runs, but some of the experts like Mike13 was there with me.

In the Stage 3 I ran 13.4 in the 1/4 mile, which they said was good. But my main problem was spinning my tires down the track.

Did you spin much?

no spinning, truck hooked up great (275/55R20 BFG's and 5,000 pounds), truck does spin on full accel. on regular pavement until 1-2 shift but on the track with all the rubber build up it grabbed and went. going to do it again but not sure what I'll do different.

Normally one would say throw some sand bags in the back for traction, but it sounds like you dont have that issue.

If you didn't have any spin, try launching it at a higher rpm...
I am assuming it is an AOD... make sure traction control is off and overdrive is turned off... then powerbrake at the line to get higher rpms using your left foot on the brake and Launch away!!!!!!!
