Whipple, exhaust & suspension done

Well, after 3 weeks at MRT she is finally done! Well sort of....

....the Ford recal tool didn't properly work and the anti-theft wouldn't let the car start. If the factory tune was loaded, when you turn the key to the on position you could hear the fuel pump come on and the anti-theft light on the dash would turn off. However, with the performance tune loaded the fuel pump would not start and the anti-theft light would continue to blink. Of course since it is Good Friday, Ford Racing was closed so we can't do anything until Monday.

I can't say enough about the gang at MRT. Their mechanic was awesome to work with and he did such an outstanding job on the car. He treated my car like it was his and did one heck of a professional and meticulous job.

We ended up having to remove the Redline Tuning hood struts and installing the MRT hood strut because the Redlines were interferring with the intercooler coolant tank. I have to tell you, the MRT strut are far superior to the Redlines (IMHO). There is no drilling or riviting and they hold the hood up higher. Not to mention, they don't interfere with getting access to the engine compartment from the sides.

They installed the BBK chrome shorties, MRT h-pipe, Canton aluminum expansion tank, red powder coated valve covers and Roush chrome exhaust tips.

Here are some pics of the Whipple, MRT h-pipe and BMR suspension. Hopefully they will get the tuner issue resolved on Monday and then it is off to the dyno to get some numbers.

I can't wait. I'm looking forward to getting everyone from the area together and running at Milan. I've never been to the track before.

Glad to see another happy customer from MRT!! Pics look great man!! Now lets see if you get perma-grin like Mike did!

Milan has already posted the Test and Tune dates on their site and I think it opens next week, if I remember reading it correctly.

Yes, I got to stand on it a couple times, very impressive, it's completely a different car with roushcharger and suspension. Are you planning on a dyno trip sometime? If so where do you go? thanks

Have you been able to wipe the grin off your face yet? Did you get the pics I emailed you?

Yes, I am going to hit the dyno, MRT uses D&D in Wixom. If they get the recal straightened out Monday, I was hoping to get in on Tuesday. Monday is going to be really busy for me so I won't be able to pick her up until Tuesday anyways.

Looks great!!! Scott's got it going on there at MRT, even though I'm on the west coast I've done my share of business with them.

Have fun and stay safe

Not to rub it in, (ok may so) record high set yesterday of 78 here in Portland, OR.
