17" Pony Wheels?

Ok... my Mother just bought her very first mustang.... I'm so proud of her!

Anyhow... its an 06 with just about 20k miles on it! The tires on it look to be what came on it when it was new!

I was thinking instead of the Parents going out and spending alot of $ on new tires, I could offer them the tires that came on my 04 GT... considering they were brand new when I bought it.... I've not even put 1400 miles on them!

The ? I've got is will the 17" Pony Wheels that came on the 04 fit under the 06? BTW hers is a V6 with a 215X60X16...<--- not a 100% sure on that!

The tires on the 17s are 245X45! I know the lug patter is good.. just not sure about the offset and profile differences?

If the lug pattern fits then I dont see the problem, but then I also dont have a clue, as most would attest too. Glad for the mom though Missed ya yesterday and cant recall the excuse... was it work and the alignment issue? Guess I am going to have to make a trip to cya one of these days. These cars are just something I love with a passion! Can't really describe it... but I can share the results!

Anyhow.. I'm with you on the wheels! I'm pretty sure they'd fit but just wanted to hear some others thoughts on it!
