S/c

I'm brand new to fnsweet so I hope I'm posting in the right place. I just added a new Roush s/c to my 06 GT. Before that I had a C&L intake and Diablo 93 tune. Obviously those are not good to me anymore. My question is whats my next step? Can I add a cold air intake to the s/c and a new tune? I want to add a bit more power. Guidance? Thanks!

Welcome to FnSweet Dane! I bet you are diggin' the whine of your new s/c huh? Congrats!! Post up some pics!

Stage 3 Motorsports - one of our FnSweet site sponsors is carrying a CAI/Tune that works with the Roush s/c. Here's a link with some additional info: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/S3MCAI5/

Welcome again and keep the questions coming.

Kandy

Greetings :)

Kandy,
Thanks for the fast reply! That's exactly the info I need. Have you heard of VMP Tuning? They have the intake and tune also. I'm just gathering all the info I can. I'll get some pics online soon. BTW, 1967 must have been a good year. I was born in May so I'm a month older than you.

Welcome Dane, glad to have you aboard...you can't go wrong with Stage 3 they are well known here & BIG enthusiasts...call & ask them about their own cars!

Lots of guys are running the Steeda intake on their Roushcharged cars. I plan on it when I can get the cash. (work troubles)

You are best off to get a custom tune at a good shop. You can also add the Blow By Racing pulley that is 2.57 vs the 2.84 (??) pulley that Roush uses now. This gives more boost and power, as there is never enough.

Any change in the intake, like adding the Steeda, will require a new tune right?

Yes, you want to retune when changing the intake. Car should run lean otherwise. Lean is bad.

Yep, thought so. I'm glad I found this site. I also visit mustangforums.com and wow do they beat up the Roush S/C. All they like there are Saleen's and Whipples.

Welcome Dane, Stage 3 is the way to go. You can't go wrong with them and they back up their products like no other company I have ever bought from.

The Roushcharger serves it purpose and of course lots of people here are using them. I can see the point of the other guys, but either way it's still cool having a s/c.
