Air/Fuel Ratio Guage help....PCM?

Okay guys,

I know that I installed all of my gauges a while back but I was in a hurry before SuperStang Fest and never got my Air/Fuel guage hooked up. Since then I've been busy and just got around to calling Autometer and seeing if I needed some sort of sensor to tap into the exhaust pipes. This was there response:

As for the a/f ratio gauge, you can tap onto either of the primary (pre-cat) O2 sensors. There is no special sensor needed. Pin #28 of the middle PCM connector is a gray wire with a light blue stripe and is a useable signal wire.

So my question is, can someone tell me exactly where to see this Pin #28 on the PCM. I'm confused. Do I just tap into that wire once I locate it? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've never messed with the PCM before.

A picture would be nice to help us mechanically defecient ones.

The PCM is behind the panel at the passenger side foot well.

Then take a look at the plugs for the middle plug. There should be (If I remeber right) 3 plugs on one side and two plugs on the other. On that middle plug you will really just have to look for the wire they specify. Once you find that you can just use one of those clamp on type connectors. This should work for you.

With this type of guage just keep in mind that it's more of a visual look then a tool if it's a narrow band guage.

Yeah you are better off spending the extra money and buying a wide band especially if you plan on having forced induction or already have it.

I bought an electronic wide band air/fuel ratio gauge. At least this is what autometer suggested.

Pastor J

Did you get the A/F gauge installed yet? If yes, how does it work.
