    steering wheel emblem

I think this looks better than the piece of tin tri pony. What do you think?

Did you get that from,"Making it Digital"? I like the Pony better for the steering wheel in my opinion...In the photo it seems to stick out too far, since you applied it over the original.

If it was recessed more it would be really bad ass! I like it though.

Damn, I thought for a second someone had found out how to take the pony off the steering wheel. I've been wanting to put that Roush emblem on there for months.

I took off the tri pony and carved out the raised plastic underneath with an x-acto knife. Its actually flat across not raised. The tri pony is held on by six small pins, very easily removed.

dfreezer, Are they just plastic pins, and can you just pry it off or how does it come off? Do you have a picture of yours on?

The emblem is tin and the small tabs are at 1 3 5 7 9 and 11 o'clock positions.
The pins are no more than 1/4 inch tabs that stick into the wheel at 90 degrees from the emblem. It's hard not to bend the tri pony during removal so you better have something to replace it with.

Dave, did you ring. Hmmmmm, I wonder where you could get one of those.
Could it be on my list of things to make?

    Bad-ass would be an understatement.

Hey, I've got to have one. The people that I bought my 05 from had yanked the pony emblem off the steering wheel. All I have is a blank on the wheel. Where do I get one? thanks

Try makingitdigital.com. I think the measurement you need is 2 3/8" but not sure check it to be sure.

I like it!!! Don't understand why Roush didn't do that originally.

I did go out and measure and it does look like 2 3/8" is the one that will fit.

Now all I need is to find where to get a matching carbon fiber applique for the passenger air bag "doors".
