I'm no expert, but popular opinion seems to be 500RWHP, with a good tune. Any more than that and it seems it's just a matter of time!
With a bad tune, not even 400RWHP is safe!

I think the blocks are pretty stong, like 900...Like said before its usually the stock rotating assembly poking holes through them that kills them.

2005 Roush Sport 05-2265
~800 rwhp would be safe.
I have read that the 3v aluminum block is very strong, but you have to wonder why Ford went with a cast iron block for the GT500.

I'd say no more then 700 hp. The temps is what i worry about. On the Trak pak with the TVS after 10 mins running hard 250 Head temps. all the boost just gets the motor hot, after so long i'm sure cracks will develop

I thought I read many years ago that the 3V block was pretty strong could handle about 700~800 horses, just the rotating assembly was bad.
So in the Cobra (GT500) for cost and strenght they went with steal. Alum. was 'moving' too much.
The blocks are fine up to ~800 rwhp. The rods are the weakest part of the puzzle. The stock crank is good up to ~700 rwhp.
Are they sleeved?

If your talking about the Alum. Block Coyote engine, do not think it would have a forged bottom end at only 400 H.P.
No need for it at those numbers.
