    Custom 3" Kooks Side Exhaust

    Hey Guys,

I just thought I would share these pictures from a while back on my full Kooks exhaust system in hopes it may help someone out one day. The car is a 2003 Cobra w/ Roush Side Skirts.

    I started with (2) Kooks 3" Stainless Mandrel J-Bends
    Kooks 1 7/8" - 3 1/2" Headers P/N-6007S (Slip Over Collector)
    Kooks 3 1/2" - 3" Offroad X-Pipe P/N-6015 (Kooks Custom 3 1/2" Inlet)
    (2) Kooks 3" - 3" Race Mufflers P/N-R300-10
    (2) Roush Stainless Tips-SM99-4700-A

The stock roush tip inlets were cut off and a section of 3" stainless tube was tig welded to the what would otherwise be stock looking tips.

Not as loud as I thought. But it was also on jackstands in neutral when I rev'd it. Nice and rumbly though

Obviously in the right color too. Darren knows about jackstands right?

Everyone seems to like the black wheels on a silver stang lately

Thanks! THAT vid was without the supercharger also (No sure if anyone caught that).

Here is one with the same Kooks headers and Offroad X-pipe but with the "Standard Sound" Rosuh side exhaust. (This is a 6000+ Rpm launch)....nice and sleeper.

With that kind of launch, that has to have a solid axle rear yes? My IRS would desintegrate if I tried a launch like that. Very nice car sir, great to see it in action.

Just curious, what kind of cash did you have to put out for the system from the headers back. Trying to plan for the future.
    Thanks Joe

If you are a 2v going 2.5" then $1,150 for the headers w/ offroad X(+$150 for cats) . $150 in Mandrel 2.5" pipe, $342 in Roush tips,$160 in mufflers, and $60 in exhaust clamps.

    That would total $2,012 + labor w/ cats. Or $1,862 + Labor w/o cats.

If you are doing THIS exact system 3.5"-3" in a 4V car i would say you will have about $300-$400 more in the system.
