Gauging Interest - Great Lakes Region Meet

Looking to see how many I can get to come to make it worth it....

Here would be the game plan.... Meet would be on a Saturday... Start around noon (in May sometime or June, you tell me). We would meet at a park right here in Beavercreek, OH because its frigging huge, has grills, is private and I could probably talk my buddy into having the police ignore the park for awhile...

At that point, we will be having the meet, lunch will be provided.. Hamburgers and hot dogs ( I aint rich).. as well as Coke and whatnot.. Ill be placing items on people. We will hang out there for a few hours just hanging out and doing whatever we do.... I will also be having a contest for a few sought after items. (Cause Im cool like that)... My goal is 6 prizes... heres my thoughts on that, subject to change based on your input,

Best Overall Car = New set of Cooper RS3 tires (18 inch.. if you got 20's like me, best be selling em) the tires when you win, not the rims..lol
Most show and no go = VMP 500 Kit
Fastest car = Full set of blacked out lights

Plus 3 random door prizes which would be, billet under the hood chrome set, carbon fiber dash overlay set and a billet fuel door.

Sorry, 3k is kind of my limit since im footing that bill.

After the park say, around 4pm or so... we go on a cruise. We can hit the highway easy and head to wherever.. I was thinking Cincinnati and back ( 2 hours drive time total) Be back around 6 or 7pm. Head to my house, I got room for about 20 cars easy and if you are ok with walking 500 feet, room for as many as you can handle. We will order up some pizza, get drunk.. play xbox, install mods, or whgatever we feel like really. (Mod installers will get garage and driveway priority). By May, there should be no overnight frost ( i do worry about that). If you want to pass out on my couch or floor, feel free, bring what you need. If you want to drive home, feel free, if you want a close hotel, theres many as I live by Wright State University and Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

All parts I buy will be for the 05-09 cars, sorry but, Im in on these competitions and since Im paying for it, its going to fit my car if I win..lol

So, there it is.. let me know what you think. I will modify as needed and then, if its a go, start asking people to bring things and making a online list for all to see so we all know whats going on.

If we do this, I will have more detail in regards to hotels, maps, etc..

This sounds like a good idea. I'm also hearing of a posible GTG some time in May at the new Easy Street Rides & Rods in Milford, OH. They have a huge parking lot (former Chrysler dealer lot) and hotels nearby along with Quaker Steak & Lube, favorite hangout for muscle car enthusiasts.

And to add, if I did get enough interest, its all subject to user feedback. For example, we dont have to come to my house, we can go to BWW's or Quaker Steak or anywhere else.. I was just doing it that way so no one was drinking and driving OR, wanting to drink but had to drive.
