The hood scoop is an all new Roush design and is not functional. The vents are however open to the engine. We got 5 2013 Mustangs in yesterday.

The 'new' hood scoop looks almost identical to the CDC hood scoop I bought for my 2010 GT. Walker has one as well. I thought it was originally a Ford idea, but have never seen it in any Ford option list or FRPP catalog...yet. I did see one last spring, on a GT premium... at a Roush dealer, 90 miles north of me. So 2 here in BC....and a handful in the us. They are pretty rare. You can get them from AM, unpainted, or pre-painted. IMO, they look better than the 05-09 scoops.

OK, how do you keep water out of the pair of heat extractor vents. The last thing anybody wants is rain water getting into the vents..then onto the motor-wiring etc.

64k almost loaded for a 650hp 200 mph mustang.

I've seen the new roush premier edition going for 74K on a certain dealder here. I'm sure its a bad ass car but if one can wait till the new GT500. Why would you buy a roush?

I don't think im wrong in syaing this but people buy these mustangs for performance. not how nice they ride in town or how plush the seats.

64k for 650hp 200 mph vs 74k for 556hp 175mph give or take. Not much difference in styling they both look badass.

p.s. that 74k premier rs3 is only 540 horse. but im assuming these new ones will be priced just as high

I get your point screaming_pc but you can find equivalent new S3s in the low to mid 50s as well. I'm not sure it was fair to compare the premier(e) edition's price in this case.

Stunning! Love the new front end, love the tail lights and blackout treatment, love the new graphics (fresh, crisp and modern), and love the hood vents and new rear window louvers (it could be the shadows but they look "scalloped"). The car in the photos is absolutely striking in the shown color combo. It looks a tad thicker now that the ground effects are body color but overall a fantastic job, really fantastic. Except for the hood scoop. I sorta understand the aesthetic need to thicken the front from the side profile, but don't care for it.

I know the 05-09 models also had a non-functional scoop, so not to be a hypocrite, but this new 2013 scoop is is just plain ugly. If it were blacked out with the stripe graphic it would look okay but offset over the stripe just does not work at all, aesthetically. But then I said the 2012 Boss LS was butt ugly too, and it took a while for the awe to fade and people to realize it is butt ugly. Thankfully, Ford listened and the "Halloween special" color scheme is gone in 2013.

Remind's me of the KR hood but cut off short. If i was the designer I would have made it longer. Scratch that, I would have made it exaclty like the KR hood.
Some things just shouldnt be messed with. Looks over thought. Might have needed a new bodystyle before the 2015, or whenever it comes out. Looks too much like the GT-500.

Only so much you can do though i guess.

The body kit is also somewhat disappointing. It seems the body pieces are mostly on the minimal side, with grille inserts, the fog lamp bezel. On the rear, I do like the exhaust. But the "S6" body kit, aside from the rear wing, is so trivial that it's not significantly different from a stock GT unless you get up and really look closely.

I guess one thing you could say about the new 2013 models is, they aren't being pushed to their potential due to warranty, but probably will be seeing +100 hp fairly quickly with the usual bolt-ons and tunes. A 650 hp 2013 Roush next to a 2013 Shelby, okay, now we're talking apples to apples, and I'll bet the Roush will outperform the Shelby.

Much much better then 2010-2012, but the front fascia reminds me of the california special, is it me or does the new strip on the hockey stick look off? As for anyone complaining that its not looking wild enough, my answer is where have you been for the last few years? Roush's new motto is to stay close to OEM has possible, like it or not, its here to stay to get on with it.

Agreed. The side stripe looks more 'sculpted' to the body lines with aditional space from the main and secondary line. The two graphics look more spaced out by comparison.
Otherwise, looks fine .... not widely different than the OEM look but enough not to confuse it with a GT or GT500.
