    TPMS options for new wheels

Within a month, my new Forgestar F14 wheels in matte black will be arriving. Since I am keeping the ROUSH factory chrome wheels, I am going to keep the OEM TPMS in them. Are there any benefits with aftermarket style TPMS over the OEM TPMS? Has anyone experienced problems concerning either style when changing wheels?

Nemo just saw this post. I'm facing the same dilemma. My tire guy (been using for years) is making this call for me. I don't know which ones he'll be using but I can try to find out. My buddy got his F14's on and got new TPMs. They've been on for a couple of weeks, with no issue.

Thanks Utmost. I received confirmation today that the wheels should ship tomorrow. With that, I wanted to make sure the TPMS arrived about the same time, so I just ordered the OEM style off ebay for $118 for the set. They should match the matte black wheels fine. If you find something better, please let me know......Im always open to change for the better! Also going to hit up Discount Tire tomorrow about tuner lugs. Might have to wait until the wheels arrive to make sure the Gorilla "small diameter" lugs and lug wrench fit, unless they have another option. Have you found anything out from your tire/wheel guy about the lug nuts yet?

Thanks again.....and I'll keep you posted as to what (if anything), I find out too

Wheels arrived today and they are definitely worth the 4 week wait (ordered on 3/5, arrived on 4/5). All I need to do now is ensure they fit over the Brembo front brakes before breaking them all out of the box and having the tires mounted.....hopefully on Sunday. As far as the tuner lugs are concerned, there is too much being made about the size of the lugs. I purchased a set of black splined tuner lugs and there is PLENTY of clearance for the nut AND the lug key. If everything goes as planned, new wheels will be installed Wednesday. Looks like Im going to the Jack Roush appearance in Houston with the new wheels. Photos to follow

Thanks Utmost. I know you have been through hell and back with your wheels purchase. Hopefully this time around when you open the box, the color will be right ! I wanted to go with the Gorilla black small diameter lugs (used them before on the Vette), but the tire shop was out and when they called Gorilla to check on availabiliy, they said they were on backorder !! Luckily the guy made a few phone calls and found some other brand in town (just like the Gorilla....splined drive and all). No brand was stamped on the collar like Gortilla, but they are pretty tough! They came in a bag, with the lugs and wrench banging all over each other, but the finish held up with no marks or chips.....must be a good quailty, we'll see.
