Do you have an hard evidence of this 300lbs different? Roush kept the RS3 weight figure so tight in the Pentagon that nobody knows for sure the exact curb weight but from what I've research with actually numbers listed at FORD
Stock GT base curb weight= 3618lbs
Stock V6=3501lbs (manual)
2013 GT 500= 3871lbs
Boss 302= 3632
So if my math is correct and the RS3 is "300lbs lighter" then 2013 GT 500 (3871lbs) ,the RS3 should be coming in at 3571 lbs? That's 70lbs lighter then a manual V6, 61lbs lighter then a natural aspirated Boss 302, how's that possible with Roush starting with a base gt curb weight of 3618lbs then adding on a blower, big brakes, cooler, aero kit, etc..? The last Stage 3 curb weight that was officially recorded in 2007 is 3920lbs by
http://www.robbreportcollection.com/...3-Mustang-2007 and we all know the Mustang has gotten heavier not lighter. From all the Roush authorized dealers including Saybrook Ford, I've seen dealers are split when they list the curb weight of the RS3, most will just look at the door sticker or website listing for the curb weight and list that as the "official" RS3 curb weight, the problem is that the sticker on the door is the actual sticker from Ford Co listing the stock GT curb weight before the car is shipped to Roush for the RS3 conversion, its the same confusion when you look at the door sticker for the correct PSI for your wheels when Roush should have changed those numbers because the door sticker PSI is based on stock GT wheels. The other half of the dealers actually have the RS3 or Stage3 curb weight listed as "starting curb weight 3618lbs" some even has it starting at 3501bs as a reference to the V6. Now what is actually true is that the 2013 GT500 is 300lbs+ lighter then the Camaro LZ1, I think many people got that number confused with the RS3. Eventhought the 2013 GT500 has a gob of HP, due to its new rpm launch control, it still can put those horsepower down to the ground with a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and 1/4 of 11.6 @125.7 mph, all on street tires, I am curious to see what the RS3 can do with all its HP and without launch control.
