    How-To....

anyone know where I could find a how-to on removing the air silencer? I thought we had one on the website here, and then I checked over at mustangworld/stangnet and all I could find was one on the older mustangs (older body style) and I wasn't sure if that would be as specific to the '01 arrangement.

    Josh -
I hate to be the downer here, but I vote to leave it on. I have heard many people say that they lost HP after removing it. I think one option is to trim the silencer. This would still allow it to go through the fender (to get cooler air), but widen the opening a bit.

Here is a pic of the stock air box and the silencer -

Yeh, I've heard that trimming it even with the fender well opening is the way to go, but I haven't tried it.
