Hood Scoopes??

Has any one made or attempted to make their hood scoop functional??

I plan on doing this in the near future.......... I plan on taking out the honeycomb insert...... then cutting quite a large hole in the hood, then placing the hood scoop back on and when ever i wash it Ill just jab a towell in there to prevent too much water getting in there.

Steeda has a custom ram air kit comming out for 01-02's wiht the hood scoop here preety soon its on all their bullits right now so im sure they will be out soon same hood, same car basically just a lil quiker

there's another one at www.karkraft.com - my friend with a 99 GT here at home put the kit on his car and he likes it, it has an actuator door that opens once you reach a certain speed I think he said (measured by the vaccuum pressure created by the air coming in)

I went to purchase this kit....and realized that they discontinued it for the V6. I'm looking into alternatives.
