I hope theres an experienced person who can help me with this, its a bit of a laundry list... it'd like to be able to do self installs on as much as possible for this car...
1)what ways can u maximize the power in a 2000 saleen 281-sc w/o nitrous
2)what are the specific companies and products and i should look into
3)i've seen ppl talk about magnaflow and x-pipes - will that increase hp or just make the car sound better
4)what about more air flow and bigger filters - ive read something about using a lightning 90mm air filter with bigger air flow - how big can u go on this car and whats a good size filter/air flow to use
5)finally - what have i left out - anything else to be done with intake and exhaust to increase hp - chip? - better intercooling system? - if so what kind

In general, improve breathing and improve exhaust flow.

2)what are the specific companies and products and i should look into.

Chicane Sport Tuning
BBK
Magnaflow
Demolet Motorsports
FRPP
Bassani exhaust

Your car already has a high-flow Borla cat-back so don't waste your money on a cat-back exhaust. Yes, high-flow X-pipes will increase horsepower. Magnaflow makes a good one. Bassani makes a good one. If you want to really increase increase your HP, go with Long Tube headers from BBK or Hooker.

A K&N filter with some sort of cold Air kit (Demolet Motorsports sells and affordable one) and A lightning MAF should free up the breathing a bit. (The car will have to be tuned on the dyno to make the new MAF work properly.)

Chicane Sport Tuning makes an underdrive pulley for your blower that you can use to increase the boost. They also do tuning and may be a good place to start asking questions. To maximize the results of the other mods you will have to get a chip. I'm not exactly sure how Saleen sets up their computer so you will want to make sure that a chip can be installed and tuned before you do this.
