    Question anyone ever thought..

have any of you ever thought about running straight pipes (no mufflers) through the roush set up? i imagine that it's possible with some custom piping done. i know that you can do it with a straight through system but what about for us roush owners?

Me and my brother have been talking about running the exhaust back to the axles and not having it go out the side. We were going to leave the exhaust tips coming out the side but were going to use turndown tips on the muffler itself this would eliminate the power lost in the bend and also would improve the sound. I also thought about hollowing out my cats my brother did it on his Dodge Ram and it sounded really good I know a guy that will do it for me. We haven't figured out the whole exhaust tip thing though I know there is a way to keep them where they are at without actually being used. I will keep you posted as to what I figure out.

never thought about that. there is a stage 2 at the ups where i work at that i see every now and them doesn't have any tips by the side skirts. i wonder if he has the set up that you're talking about? i think it would be interesting to see someone run straight pipes w/o muffs through the side exhaust.

There is a black S2 with NOS that hangs out up a Hooters on the weekends (KC). He had the pipes welded to his tips (no muffs). It is really loud.

Yea, Ben is right, his name is Chris....... He also has a mac off road pro chamber which helps with that loudness

Wow roushman he works at ups too his name is Chris Peace..... does it have a roush racing decal on the front bumper and a cobra r hood? If so thats his, most of the time he runs without his tips but he puts them on for car shows.

You need to try a x-pipe without cats. Its louder then you think it should be . At about 70&80mph it's loud enough you can't hear youself think.

Id say your best setup is a bassani with or without cats and the custom tubing to the exhaust tip like chris has. Roushduo do you have pics of your car?

I checked your profile...... whats with the tailights? Just wondering why people buy them? Sounds like your car looks pretty good other than those.

We own domestic cars not japanese cars why put euro stuff on domestic cars? It doesnt make sense to me.

What you do is buy hooker long tubes with the off road y pipe they sell to go with it...... that will leave you with a mean sound...... come out somtime to hooters and you can meet chris and ask him for advice on your car.
