    Question Fogged head lights???

Anyone having this problem with their headlights. Mine came this way from the factory, I plan to get them replaced under warranty. The dealership didn't even give me any argument over this, they came right out and said they would replace them. I'm wondering if Ford has had this problem. There are some other 01 & 02 GT's in our club with the same problem.

Yeah, I have the same problem on my 01 S3. One of the lights is fogged. But, I hate taking it to the dealer so I will wait for some other more substantial warranty issues to surface before I give it over to the ford shop hacks. Once you get your's replaced, let us know what the dealer claims the problem was, i.e., broken seal, faulty housing, etc.

Ford says that it was because of the epoxy used in the bonding process. It is having a reaction to the plastic. Your dealer will replace them.

Looks like Ford must have a hole &*^* load of these headlight assy's. Like I said A few members of our club with 02 models are having the same prroblem. Wonder if the replacements will do the same thing. I asked the dealer what the deal was and they said they had no complaints before mine. Hmmmmmm....the dealer would never lie about a thing like that right Hey as long as they replace em no chg. I'll keep the paperwork so if the problem arrises again it will continue to be covered.

There is a recall on those healdights. If you guys (and girls) do a search on corral.net under "headlight recall", it'll give the recall notice number. I've heard about some dealers not wanting to replace them so maybe this'll help.

Ya, I figured there was probably something like that. Unfortunately this dealer here in Pittsburgh leaves alot to be desired as far a service is concerned. They are the closest Roush dealer to me within 100 mile, so thats where I ended up purchasing my S-3. Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along.
