Spark Plug Question

Hello all. I have been signed up to Fnsweet since early July, but have not had much time to post anything, just some occasional lurking. But now I am getting a bit more free time, so hopefully, I can contribute some more.


Anyway, here is my question: I came across a warning in my Vortec S/C owners manual that said not to use platinum plugs unless the car came equipped with such for the factory. Does anyone know why? I have used platinum plugs for years without problems. Interesting that I got this info from the S/C manual and not from my Ford manual.

well, I just got done reading not to screw with my spark plugs with my supercharger, even tho Denso Uridiums were tested with my type of supercharger ( Eaton ) and they gained almost 9 rwhp!!
