Alarm Going Off...What the?

My alarm went of three times today, twice sitting in front of the building at work and now once sitting in my garage. Something is amiss. I am thumbing through the owners manual now to see if there is something about this. In the meantime anyone know what might be causing the alarm (the horn) to go off? Its a 2004 Mustang with the Ford factory alarm.
Thanks.

Put it in the garage. Most likely vibrations and/or sound setting it off... That or the racoons or kitties

I think I remember reading about others having this issue and it turned out to be the battery.

Um did you read my post? It was in the garage the last time it went off genius.

Actually I think I figured out why it was going off (sorta). Once it got dark last night I could see that one of the map lights near the dome light was on. I must have bumped it pulling stuff out of the back seat when I got to work yesterday morning so it was on the whole day.

So I don't what exactly the alarm/horn was telling me, 1. you left a light on idiot, or 2. there is a drain on the battery. Nothing in the manual about this. I turned the map light off last night and set the alarm. No reoccurring issues so far.

Yeah, it's the battery then. I recall reading that once the battery got to be pretty low, the alarm would randomly go off.

I'm betting battery. I parked the car at my parent's house one time when I went out of town and I got a call that my alarm was going off. Come to find out the battery was getting real weak and tripped the alarm. Guess that little flashing light over a couple days was pulling on last little bit of power. Changed the car battery and no more problem.
