Time To Play...Name That Fluid!

It's red, there are big drips under my car, and its starts with the letter "T".

All correct answers get a free years subscription to Cat Fancy the magazine.

Stay tuned for next weeks question, "Will Ford cover this work under the warranty?"

Hope it works out for you!

Since it's not a "transvestite"...I'm sure it's close, maybe the first 5 letters?

Well, a transvestite would leak red fluid......
Did you feel any bumps in the road driving home last night? How's your cornhole feel?

Lol, I should have known the twisted minds of fnsweet would come up with some creative answers.

The Ford dealer is tearing apart the tranny to find out why it is leaking internally. Anyone had or heard of a similiar issue? It's seems kind of premature to have this problem after only 3yrs/21k miles and I have not been too hard on it at all.

3yrs/36k warranty.... hope you got the extended.

The cause... thats a rather easy question there. Driving like a grandpa comes instantly to mind ... that and the one time you drove the wheels off of it keeping in front of me up the mtn.

Hope it works out for ya bud. A new tranny is only 1200 or soo.... uninstalled

Lol, that made me laugh, just a little. It's more like the brown "air", sitting in the nose bleeds. Hopefully I dont fall from the upper deck (again). Got my tailgating hardware all ready to go.

Update:

Spoke to service rep today, the found the tranny leaking at the Output Shaft Seal and ALSO at the top of the tranny near the shifter.

I also had them throw on some Michelin Pilot Sport's and do an aligment. The KD's were basically EOL and it was going to take at least two weeks to get them delivered so I am going to give the Michelin's a try. Get the car back Monday.

Let us know if they give you any flak over this. I'm curious as to how well they stand behind the extended warranty and I hope everything comes out for the best.

Will do PJ. I am hoping for a non-confrontational battle on this one. Should be covered though but we know how the dealers like to pass along some of the costs. Flooding the torpedo tubes so to speak just in case.

Sorry D I know you were hoping I would take those 295's off your hands but I made the command decision to get this done quickly as possible. I'll buy wings at the next gtg.
