Bitten by the Alignment dog

Threw my car up on ramps to mess with the exhaust yesterday. Decided to take a look at the tires while it was up. Guess what I found???? The inner shoulder has a strip about 1 inch wide which is burned up right down to the cords and beyond.

Naturally the rest of the contact patch still has 75% rubber left.

I will take some pics when the new rubber comes in. Guess I'll put some MM C/C plates on order as well. Now I know the sick/angry feeling so many others have had.

That sucks...but you shouldn't be tooo surprised about this. Time to hit S3 Motorsports for the CC plates...good excuse to mod it up!

Nope, not a surprise at all. I just hadnt noticed it before now, and I remember looking at it a few months ago.
I have a call in to S3M, but I get a pretty decent Military discount at another vendor

Heres a pic:

Wait 'til one seperates entirely. That's a joy.

Thanks, but I just ordered a set of Kumhos for a great price. Not my first choice, but with Christmas around the corner, I dont have the $$$ for the BFGs. Not too mention the CC plates which I will be ordering soon.

Update....PICS

Here are pics of the worst of the two front tires after I removed it. I ended up replacing them with Kumho ASX's 265/35/18. They are Ultra High Performance All Season. Same thing I had on there before. The price was right on them, but I am bummed now because I was going to move up in size in the rear from 285 to 305, but the biggest the ASX's go is 275
