Help! Engine Codes

So I've put about 500 miles on my new engine and I got 2 codes that have come up.

1. P0190 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
2. P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Circuit high input

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

p0190 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction (FRP)
Description- The comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the FRP sensor to the PCM for VREF voltage. The test fails when the VREF voltage from the PCM drops to a voltage less than a minimum calibrated value.
Possible Causes -
*VREF open in harness
*VREF open in sensor
*VREF open in PCM.
Diagnostic Aides - Verify VREF voltage between 4.0 and 6.0V>

P0193- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input (FRP)
Description - The comprehensive component monitor (CCM) monitors the FRP sensor circuit to the PCM for high voltage. If voltage were to fall below a calibrated limit and a calibrated amount of time during testing, the test will fail.
Possible Causes-
*FRP Signal shorted to VREF or VPWR.
*FRP signal open (gasoline only)
*Low fuel pressure (NG only)
*Damaged FRP sensor.
*Damaged PCM.
*High fuel pressure (caused by damaged fuel pressure regulator) NG.
Diagnostic Aides - A FRP PID value during KOER or KOEO less than 0.3 volts for gasoline or 0.5 volts for natural gas vehicles (NG) would indicate a hard fault.

Thanks!
I am getting 5.0 volts at the plug before the sensor. So maybe it is the sensor then.

And I can reset the light and then after a couple of decent pulls it comes back on.

Check the vaccuum hose coming out of the FRPS, if it smells like gas chances are good the you're FRPS is toast. Mine blew when I was on the dyno and I got those same errors.

I replaced mine, reset the computer for 30 minutes and it fired right up.

Yeah I cleared them and they come back. I haven't had a chance to check the vac line yet as stated above.

I thought about just replacing the FRP sensor but the damn things is $74! So I hate to replace it if thats not the problem.

Yes the car runs fine from what I can tell.......And shows about 40psi of fuel pressure at idle.

Only when I clear the code and drive and accelerate hard the codes come back.

I will check the vac line and see.

FWIW - When my FRPS blew the car would not run at all.

Those codes maybe and indication that the FRPS is starting to go.

Well I popped off the vac line and there is no smell or trace of gasoline.

Now I'm really not sure what to do. I was just going to order another sensor but I'm not so sure that is the problem now.

Had the same issues. You might get lucky and it's just your pressure sensor. I've been thru several. Just recently mine went out, replaced it and found out one of the fuel pumps died. Replaced pump assembly and no more codes.

God I hope its not the fuel pump! I am tired of working on cars for now.

Anyway to check to make sure both pumps are working. I would assume that they are because I have about 40psi of fuel pressure at idle.
But I also assume that one pump could possibly provide that?

If it helps any, I have a single pump and throw the same code.

Thnx! I have reset it now about a dozen times. I am a little timid about pushing the car right now because of the code.

Someone said on another site that the "rough" idle I spoke of in another thread could be related to the code I'm getting/FRP sensor going bad.
