BBK does not make shortie headers for our 2002 4.6s.....
Atleast, Im almost positive they dont..

Ford racing's headers will fit perfectly and give 18-20 real RWHP with a SC'd engine. Not bad for the money eh?
See my dyno posts on this.
okay, thanks, i had no idea BBK didnt make shorty's for my car. and im tryin to stay away from longs b/c of my ground clearance.....i think im goin w/ the Ford ones.....thanks Roush32go
I've still yet to see these dyno charts that you talked about.. I've searched everywhere... and I called FRPP and they claimed they dont make shorty headers for 02 Mustang GTs... what am i looking for, exactly? I may go with these shorties if they give power gains THAT great

white360r - I used the search button here on the forum and found that Kev posted my dyno results on 9-06-02. The dyno reflects the difference between the install of the headers and cai and the bassani x numbers. So the car went from 336 to 357 with the installation of the headers and cai, so the headers gave me an additional 15-19 rwhp assuming only a small amount for the cai.
WEll i think the CAI had more then a few HP's i think its around 10 on a NA car and maybe 12 on a supercharged car.
Shorty's are great but from what i hear you can only expect 10-13 hp from them... I guess for the price they say if your going with headers go with long tube because they arnt that much more... corse there is the "take everything apart to put them on deal and that would sux but Ehhh what are you going to do... am i right comrades
thank Roush32, found it...
anyways.. You also leaned out your car, so your dyno is a BIT misleading..
Ive read great things about BBK LongTubes, and they are consistant in getting 15+ rwhp.. so I can imagine even better gains added w/ an o/r x pipe on a supercharged engine

Curious. The leaning came with the add ons. Nothing was done to lean the car. Any one have any ideas as to why it would have affected the fuel ratio like that? I wonder if the new chip code would get the fuel air ratio into an unsafe zone. Just wondering.
Oh I thought you leaned it out yourself.. how weird???
Im still looking everywhere for the headers that fit your car.. I found smoe that fit the 99 GT, but they wont fit 2000-2003

Supacharge, I say wait. Early next year Bassani is releasing
Mid-lenght headers to work with there X-pipes. The tech I spoke
with is keeping me in the loop. They should solve ground
clearence problems and still give us charged 4.6ers around
15-20 hp. But you'll need there x-pipe to go with it. With the
combo of x-pipe and headers I'm hoping to get 20-30 extra
rwhp and keep it all Bassani
As for release date....they don't have one yet. But I'm on there
ass for oneI'll let all know as soon as I do. I don't expect to
hear from him until after x-mas.

lordsoth.....thanks man. sounds like a good idea to me. ideas are still flying, but that one is a smart one.
There is also a company currently doing R&D with Borla for a full exhaust (headers to cat back)
