Another Alcon question

I just finished installing my Alcons and I have one problem.

The back brakes drag causing the rotors to get hot as hell from just driving around the block. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what might be the problem.

Thanks,

Did you turn the piston in all the way on the rear calipers?
Also did you reset the parking brake cable by pulling it up a few times?

I thought I turned the pistons in all the way. I guess I will take it back apart tomorrow and check to make sure of that. I know they were tight as hell going on.

And I pulled the handle up a few times for the parking brake but no change.

Are you using the thinner brake pads? If you installed thicker rotors you will need to use the thinner pads.

are you drunk and just think you are pushing on the gas pedal and really pressing the brake? That will heat them up too.

Guess I'm not sure which pads I am supposed to use? Any part number?

I just realized I am using the stock GT rear pads. So I need to get rear pads for a Cobra?

Correct, the pads for a GT are thicker. Get some cobra pads and you'll be all set!
Good call SteveL
