we have gone over this before and i have to tell you that it is cheaper to sell the S1 and buy a S2. that is if you want to keep it roush... otherwise you could prob sell the S1 and get a used Gt for a little more... Just my option... But if you do it ... You have to look at around 3-4k in parts just for used stuff.

    4.6 engine
    rear end
    5 speed
    computer and wireing harness
    GT Display
    GT airconditioning pump.

and about 10 small parts i havent thought of.

    Cool

The best swap would have been getting the 01 Cobra motor for $3500 when bishopengines had them, but that swap was easier for a 4.6 SOHC guy.

Some of the V6 sites have pretty good info on V8 swaps.

Otherwise, knuther hit it on the head .... get a V8 to start with first.

I think I want to go with the 03' cobra motor. does anyone know for sure how muh it is???? and if I could order it from my ford dealer??? also would a be able to use my current tranny untill i get enough to buy a 6 or would it be less a hassle just to do it now???? I can install the 8.8 rear axle and drive shaft my own but I think I will us get that from a junkyard off a GT or cobra with 3.73's or 4.10's if I can find one
