Seats ? which one to get ?

so far i know a couple of brands of the aftermarket seats (not counting Roush )
    -Recaro
    -Sparco
    -Tenzo
    -Corbeau (hehe, Mario )

from the list, Sparco and Recaro are the most expansive, but does that mean they are the best ?
or, re-phrase : Tenzo and Corbeau are seemed to be much cheaper, but are they reliable and discent quality ?
i mean, i don't wonna spend 800 per seat, but if the other seats are of poor quality, i would just stay with factory

I don't have any problems with my Corbeau's...the material seems to me a little thin, but I've had no problem with it, but then again I don't "jump in and around" inside...not saying you do. I'm pretty sure Roush2960 is happy with his too. I don't have anything to compare them to, so I don't know if the material is normally that thickness *shrug* I've never heard of Tenzo, but I doubt you'd be unhappy with any of the other 3 choices. Your best choice would be to try and sit in the ones you're actually interested in...if that's possible. It wasn't for me, so I took the plunge, and am happy with my decision.

One issue to consider (you may already have) is what type of seat belts you will use. The more agressive seats may not best with the 3 point belts as they don't allow a tight fit across the bolsters. Some seats allow for 5 of 6 point harnesses. Also, whether you want a recliner or fixed seat.

Got my corbeaus back in May and still dont regret it. Material is holding up just fine and I have taken long drives and drive it daily to work. Have 3-point belts in and like them alot. Went with corbeau's over Sparco's because of cost. CroushN has Sparcos. I sat in them back in Feb. and there great. Just was quoted 400 dollars + over the Corbeaus. Get them you wont regret it.

The Cobra R has Recaro SRD recliners. From what I've read, those are highky regarded. The SRD's have an optional slot for a 5 point harness as well.

If I go with aftermarket seats, I'll most likely go with the Recaros.

Shoot your in FL shipping alone will be around $65. When your ready let me know.

Oh for the record I will soon be offering COBRA and SPARCO seats too. Just need to save up a bit for my buyin for me to carry the COBRA line. I need to place with them my first order of four seats.

Oh in regards to the Tenzo R seats and the rest of their line. That company can suck my fat Portuguese linguica cock. Talk about a company with shitty customer service.

I have a set of Corbeau TRS's in a daily driver. I went with the TRS because of the reinforced padding. I thought this would be good for the amount of use they will get. 2 weeks after I installed them I went on a straight 11 hours trip from Detroit to North Carolina. They were great my back never even got close to sore. The only thing is there is no 5th harness slot. I run the Corbeau 4- point though. IMHO they are great seats and I will use them in the future.

Make sure you have a chance to sit in them somewhere first. I have a wide back for the waist that I have and my waist fits perfect but my upper back is a tad to big for the seat. Nothing major, but it could drive you nuts knowing you just dumped a grand into the seats.

I put Corbeau's in my 70 Mach 1 when I was restoring it, unfortunately never got to take a trip in it as somebody made me an offer I couldn't refuse before I got it completed. They felt like high quality seats though and I would not hesitate to buy some again if the opportunity arose.

Actually, Y2K Rs use Recaro Sport seats.

    Sports in my car.

    Sports in the real thing.

    SRDs are a little different.

If I was not going for the Y2K R look, I don't think I would have bought these seats. They're great, but they aren't worth what they cost (well over $800 per seat if you reuse your stock sliders. Since I did not want my driver's seat to be power, I bought new manual sliders for both DS and PS ... $200 for the pair.). For my other Mustang, I'm planning on going with Corbeau CR1s.

Just the regular TRS, still in a 32 waist, for now
