i can check out steigemeyer and call roush this week. but does anyone know if there is a replacement snout or rebuild kit available?

do you need/recommend rebuilding the whole blower if the snout bearing is rattling?

My suggestion, talk to the guys mentioned previously (Stegimier), they won't steer you wrong and you're going to send them the whole unit anyways I believe. Let them look at it and recommend a course of action in regards to just the snout vs. whole thing. From what I know, they're "the guys" to go to regarding blower modifications/rebuilds.

I don't know what kinda miles you have, but more than likely, its the Supercharger coupler that goes bad.. Its not hard to rebuild one of these yourself.. You can get kits from other places, but I was trying to ask our sponsers first..

Steig is good from what I hear, but in my case, its too pricey for what I'm doing..

coupler, eh? i guess i need to find a good picture to learn about this.

i just called magnuson and they have a replacement nose for $310 + your core....although the second call i made, they told me they cant sell the nose for a roush...i have to go to roush <groan>.

they also said that once i get the nose off, wear on the coupler should be obvious...the holes will show wear. he said even if its the torsional style coupler with a spring, it will still show the same wear. i wonder which type we have?

coupler replacement kit with 510 pink loctite (nose gasket) and new oil runs about $70.

i guess my next move is to take the nose off.

Pauls High Performance may sell something like that. They replace the whole snout when reducing pulley size on the cobras.
