2005-08 Mustang GT P51 Roush Supercharger

As most of you know Roush is using a larger 2.3L supercharger on the 2008 P51 cars. The P51 cars are using all forged internals in a stock block(4.6L). The short block will be sold retail in the next couple months (approx. 4500.00 retail). These short blocks do require that you take the heads off you stock motor.

Soon we will be selling the P51 supercharger in a kit for your 4.6L (hopefully 5800.00 range). We are looking at making 500 flywheel HP with the stock bottom end. If you are willling to spring for the forged bottom end we may be able to offer a full warranty on the powertrain. This blower will run much cooler than the current 1.6L supercharger. The 2.3L supercharger lends itself to upgrades better than the current supercharger. This new supercharger will have a cold air kit, and the ability to run a GT500 throttle body.

Sounds like for 10K you can have a forged motor, 2.3L blower, and all the HP you can put through your stock trans.

This new blower should be out in the next month. We will have more info to follow. Feel free to start in with the questions, we will do our best to answer..

Most of you roush guys would have a stock bottom end and a Roush blower you could sell to get back some of the money. We should have more info on what this blower will do in about 6 weeks.

Man I want that... That's actually less then I thought, but I would have to pay someone for the install and tuning and all that I think.

Now all I need is the money.

Are you planning on putting together some sort of a package that would include the install of the Super charger and / or the new block?

More Info on P51 Supercharger

Here are the options for purchase:

1. You buy the Supercharger and Short block from roush. You get a roush warranty and roush tune.

2. You buy the supercharger and the roush forged internals for your stock block. You get a roush tune and no warranty.

3. You buy the supercharger for your stock bottom end. You get no tune and no warranty. We will be offering a tune for this set up.

Hope this helps. Keep in mind the roush tune and short block are set up for the lower compression that the P51 makes.

Ok lets say I get the S/C and forged internals from you and have it installed locally. Will you include the CAI and smallest pulley available and a tune for it? I am very interested. I was about to drop the cash on a KB 2.6L but I am pleased to see the P51 blower is going to be a option, I would love to keep my car all roush. Ok let me think here.....5800 for the S/C kit, 4500 for the forged internals........how much do you think it would be install all those. Hopefully not much more. How necessary are the forged internals? I guess what I am asking is how much boost does this setup push? Can you develop a tune that would be safe enough to run the P51 blower on my stock bottum end so maybe I could do the install myself? I personally know a few guys that went to JDM and had saleen blowers installed and modded to put down over 500rwhp and they said they are not even a bit worried about there stock bottum end. the AFR stays on the good side and they just made sure not to raise the rev limiter. They tell me that it is all in the tune. I would like to have around 420-450rwhp. Could you make it happen with the p51 blower on the stock bottum end and still be safe by reasonable standards? Please let me know. I am very interested.

We will be offering a P51 blower package with a custom tune for the stock 4.6 bottom end. We are probably looking at a 525 Flywheel HP package. This should make 440-450 RWHP and be safe to run for the life of the car.

Hmmm, I was going to go with a KB as well. With this new information I might have to look into it a little more.

More Pics

Can anyone post a better pic of the P-51 engine bay? The one at the top doesn't show the full intake setup. If not, I'll just have to go out and buy me one.
