Where: FireBird Raceway of Chandler,AZ.

This is a Great opportunity for you to Road race your car on a Real Track. Whether your a first time driver or a Pro racer this is a great chance to see what road racing is all about. Pro Auto Sports is providing us with a great experience all for $100. This cost includes An introduction to Auto road racing, Classes start at 7am, you will be instructed on proper driving etiquette and driving skills. Then you will take to the track in your own car and practice what you've learned. Your price includes a 2008 Pro Auto Sports License and 4 20min sessions. Is there any of this kind of stuff happening closer to Dallas, TX anytime soon? I have been dying to take my car to the track and put it to some tests!

Just so I am clear, we register for the "New Member Orientation - Saturday" group? I would assume that is the correct group for me. As it says those "with no experience."

The wife okay'd it so I guess I will be going and driving in something other than a straight line for once...After all of the money I have spent with you guys on the suspension it better be fun.

We have been moved from the East track to the West Track Gate #3. From what I have been told, this is a better road surface to drive on.
Also so that Everyone is clear, This "New Driver Program" is only for NEW members only.. If you are already part of Pro Auto Sports this discount does not apply to you. See you all there

Well, that's it...I'm officially registered for the Saturday (9/27) "New Driver" group. Can't wait!!! I know Ron and Frank are going to be SHOCKED that I followed through, but hey what do you want form a guy with a 2 y/o.

Alright, so who all is going, what time is everyone planning on showing up, and from what part of town are you coming?

I am going...yay me!
I was thinking of getting there around 7ish.
I'm in Laveen at 51st Ave and Baseline Rd. So I'll probably just head down 51st to Riggs Rd. Unless someone(s) want to meet along/near Baseline going toward I-10...I could do that too.

I have seen a couple of places that it was originally supposed to be the East course. But has since been moved to the West course.

WOW! What happens when you go out to an open track event with your car and REALLY catch the bug? You get what happened to Ron a.k.a rondawg0410. He has fallen into the trap really hard and I'm sure he wont be getting out.

Last year when I met him and Frank3 out at this event here in Phoenix, he had his car, an ice chest, and a pop-up tent. Today, he hangs in a "pit compound" complete with enclosed trailers, a huge RV's and tents a-plenty. There are sponsors, race gear, stacks of tires, and on and on. You get the idea. It is pretty cool all around and I hear Frank3 has some things going as well.

Bill at www.Stage3Motorsports.com has gotten well into the action as well, along with a number of others who are part of a growing group that has a strong chance of being a real race team one day soon. I was impressed today to say the least.

AzRoushStang was there with his wife and toddler son, John and Spencer from Stage3Motorsports were there. There were a lot of ROUSH Mustangs out there, a theme that is spreading every time I go out to the ProAutoSports event. If I missed anyone, sorry. It was great to see everyone. I really do get out once in a while

I want to give a great big thanks to Stage3 and Rondawg for setting this up. I had a blast yesterday; actually that is the most fun I have ever had in the front seat of a car. I have a lot of learning to do, but I can't wait to get back out there and try it gain. Hopefully, when the weather is a little cooler.
