JEEPS Drag racing?

I know its not a Roush...this was shot at ATLANTA Motor Speedway at the SRT8 Experience...it short...but you can see how these critters launch.

Modded ones are cutting sub 3 second 0-60's. We call those Exotic killers.

there was one at the friday night drags at Nashville Super Speedway this past week...and one is showing up to run the open track this weekend at the same venue...oughta be interesting to see it carve corners

I will predict ONE corner. Then it will need that other sticker commonly seen on jeeps.

Youd be shocked to see the Jeep hangs with the SRT10 Viper in the turns. Ask any SRT8 Experience attendee

Yeah, that's with a professional driver at the wheel. Not some Chimp.

Both the Viper and Jeep have professional drivers that take owners around the track. The fact that 4600lb+ SUV can keep up with a Viper is unreal

They also let the SRT owners drive em on the track in 4 different driving scenarios...drag racing...performance handling(mini auto-X)...auto-X...and performance laps on the track where the pro driver "leads" and you follow...as a "paid" spectator I got to ride shotgun...while the bro in law got to actually drive. And the jeep is rather stout...GVWT:6600lbs... but yeh watching that bugger boogie around the track was a sight.

We were there at NSS a couple of Fridays ago for the Time Trials.
Yeah, the Jeep was pretty impressive.
Thought that Vette was gonna buy the wall.
Look for us June 13. We'll be in the paddock for the road races Sat/Sun

RheacerDave...I was out at NSS for the first night of drags as well...met the Jeep guy the next weekend at the Open Track...we spent a couple sessions chasing each other...I'll have to come out for the SCCA races.
